4 Ways to Support Your Charity While You Fundraise
The 2022 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend is just a little over four months away, and hundreds of charity runners are fundraising for local and national charities as they Run For A Reason. Monetary donations help these charities continue to make it possible for each of them to execute their mission, but how can you help as we lead up to marathon weekend?
1. Donate Your Time
Charity organizations are always welcoming new volunteers, and your time is just as helpful as a donation. Volunteering with an organization you are passionate about is a great way to honor a loved one, as well. Take this time to connect with the cause and make a difference in your community.
2. Purchase a Gift
Most organizations have a merchandise store where you could purchase a gift for the holidays. This will not only benefit the cause but will be a meaningful gift to give! Check out the American Cancer Society store here.
3. Advocate
Sharing the mission or a personal story connected to a charity is a free and simple way to spread awareness. You never know who might relate to your message or share their story in return to remind you that we are all in this together.
4. Attend an Event
