2025 U. S. STEEL PITTSBURGH CHAMPIONS MILE COURSE MAP

The U. S. Steel Pittsburgh Champions Mile invites participants of all abilities to run, walk, or roll through the streets of Pittsburgh, culminating in a memorable finish under the DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon finish line. This untimed event welcomes everyone to join in a celebration of supporting families and friends living with disabilities.

Champions Mile FAQs

No, anyone that crosses the start line must be registered and have a Champions Mile race bib.

  • No refunds or deferments of entry forms
  • Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller skates, roller blades and hoverboards are not permitted on the course
  • Headphones are strongly discouraged
  • Only service animals are permitted on the course

Yes, walkers are welcome to join in the Champions Mile. The course will be open for 30 minutes.

There are no water stops on the Champions Mile course, please carry water with you if you need it.

  • There will be a checkpoint to access the corrals. Security guards have the right to inspect bags prior to entry into the corrals. Only bring what you need that day and consider not carrying any bags which may delay your entry into the corrals. 
  • Only participants with a CHAMPIONS MILE race number will be permitted entry.

Yes, you may, so long as the child is registered for the Champions Mile event.

  • If you want to watch your participant from the sidewalk, remain on the north side of the Blvd. of the Allies, the same side of the street where Point Park University’s Academic Hall is located.
  • Adhere to directions provided by event staff and race day security during the event. Their goal is to keep all participants safe and to unite participants with their friends/family in the designated areas.

If your fellow participant arrives at the finish line before you, there is a waiting area on the left side of the chute where your fellow participant can wait with volunteers until you meet up with them.

We understand that circumstances change, and you may find yourself unable to participate as initially planned. To accommodate this, we offer the ability to transfer your registration to another participant, allowing you to share the joy of racing while still making the most of your investment.

If you would like to transfer your registration, simply log into your Race Roster account. Once you are logged in, you will see a box labeled Transfer on both the right or left sides of the screen. Please click on the box and then select Transfer to New Participant and complete the steps as directed.

Please note that there is a transfer fee plus any applicable change in registration fees.
