The Strip District
The Strip District
Pittsburgh's historic Strip District is the first leg of the race that runners will pass through and the last before Downtown! If you want to see your runner at the start and cheer them on while they make it to Downtown, this is your best bet!
Pro Tip: Liberty Avenue from 34th Street to 16th Street is very long after you’ve already run 24 miles. We want all those runners finishing 26.2 to feel the love from the City of Bridges! If you’re looking for an amazing place to have an impact on your runner, consider cheering for runners on the sidewalks of Liberty Avenue at the start and the end of the race. Here are some Cheer Groups and locations to consider cheering:
- CHEER GROUPS:
- Liberty Avenue & 20th Street: The Pittsburgh Downtown Rotary and E. Street Beer
- Derry Park Turn on 30th Street between Liberty and Penn Avenue: North Way Christian Community
- PRIME LOCATIONS:
- Liberty Avenue between 16th Street & 34th Street: the sidewalks are perfect to set up for some rousing cheers!
