Neighborhood Grants

The deadline to register for a neighborhood grant is April 11, 2025.

Neighborhood Grant Information

It is more than a race - it is the largest weekend party in town, and you won't want to miss it. You are invited to join us for the 17th running of the DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon. More than 35,000 participants are expected to take to the streets for race weekend on Sunday, May 4, 2025, and we want you to help us cheer them on!

Neighborhoods and communities along the course have made it a tradition to celebrate race weekend, and it hasn't gone unnoticed.

Create a Festival

Showcase your neighborhood to tens of thousands of participants and their friends and family waiting to catch a glimpse of them along the course. Invite the entire community to your party - add balloons, flags, noisemakers, incorporate local businesses and talent, and celebrate your neighborhood on Marathon weekend.

Apply for a Grant

Eligible neighborhoods can receive a grant to help offset the costs of your neighborhood festival on Marathon Sunday. The purpose of the neighborhood grant is to assist with any costs to throw a party along the course, marketing efforts for your neighborhood festival, and more. We encourage you to invite any and all in your area to come out and cheer on our runners as they make their way through the 14 neighborhoods, parks, and other areas of Pittsburgh! Runners rely on cheering to keep them motivated, and your support makes the experience that much more memorable.
